John Taylor Master of Arts, Diploma of Teaching Distinction , TESOL Certificate. From 1998 until 2012 I worked as a teacher educator at the University Otago College of Education, mainly in the secondary teacher education programme. I have also taught and supported Malaysian students both here and in Malaysia and have moderated both their academic and teaching practice progress. Alongside my considerable and varied teaching experience at secondary and tertiary level, I have worked as a school support advisor in Otago and Southland in New Zealand, in the areas of literacy and English.
I have also worked as an educational consultant to the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as part of a team delivering a range of professional support to the Pacific nation of Niue. I have worked in a Teacher Training Institute in Sarawak Malaysia as a Training Fellow. I am currently working as the Portfolio Manager of Arts and Media at Aoraki Polytechnic, based in Timaru. My goal in establishing Taylor Graham is to be able to continue contribute to education either in New Zealand or overseas in whatever capacity is appropriate.

John has been an integral member of the B Ed TESL Malaysian and University of Otago Twinning programmed pastoral protection and teaching team since 2009. John is a highly principled individual who thinks deeply about educational issues and can be relied on to act with integrity and confidentiality. Students across the college continue to speak highly of his lively classes, and ability to ignite a permanent interest in the subject.
