Notes should be handed into the Form Teacher designated to check off the particular student’s attendance or given to the Attendance Officer. If there is g enuine reason for them being late and a signed note is received from a parent caregiver or teacher on the morning then the lateness will be excused. Students late to school in the morning go straight to the Deans Attendance Officer to obtain a Late Note before they can go to class.
Uniform must be worn correctly on the way to and from school and during the school day. The Senior Uniform by Principal’s approval is a white polo shirt with school jacket, or sky blue jersey. Starting in the North East, the zone covers Welcome Bay Rd up to the boundary with Papamoa College Zone up to Welcome Bay Rd, but not including 679 Welcome Bay Rd . The scheme also includes Matakana Island, with the Northern most boundary being 116 Waihirere Rd. General Enrolment Information Year 9 to Year 13 Tauranga Boys’ College has an Enrolment Scheme in place, and election for entry to the school is based on the Ministry of Education enrolment regulations. General In zone Applications 2016 You need to live in the school zone to attend Tauranga Boys’ College. You will need to complete the enrolment application and submit all supporting documentation.
Schools with Year 8 boys within the 'school zone' are supplied with enrolment information. Please note that enrolment at a contributing school in the Tauranga Boys’ College school zone does not give right of entry into the College you need to live in the Tauranga Boys’ College school zone to attend. Out of Zone Applications for Year 9 to 13 Out of zone applications for enrolment will be processed in the following order of priority. First Priority Will be given to students who have been accepted for enrolment in special programme s run by the school and approved by the Secretary for Education.
Sixth Priority Will be given to all other students who live outside the school zone and who wish to attend this College. Parents wishing to enrol their son at Tauranga Boys’ College must complete the enrolment form and submit all supporting documentation. All students wishing to apply for out of zone enrolment must attend an interview during the following five enrolment days . Out of zone applications open Monday 25th July 2016 Out of zone applications close Friday 2nd September 2016 The ballot date for out of zone applications is Monday 12th September 2016 Class Placement The enrolment process involves an entrance test for students entering Year and the accumulation of academic achievement data suitable for academic streaming of boys at all year levels. It provides expansive educational opportunities, and a positive, well resourced and safe environment in which highly qualified teachers strive to establish constructive learning relationships
